Christmas is just around the corner and you are probably already preparing for it. One of the most important part of Christmas is gift giving and you may already have bought the perfect gift for your friends and loved ones. But the perfect gift can only be truly perfect when you wrap it in the most perfect way you can.
So, now you may be wondering why all of a sudden wrapping gifts became so important. Well it’s because of this. When you give gifts to others, you not only show them how you care about them enough to remember to give them a present, you also give them a part of you. Of course, the perfect gift would need the perfect housing and if you wrap it carefully in the most creative way you can, you are showing the recipient how much you care, enough to put in a lot of effort in the wrappings.
Here is how you can perfectly wrap your presents:
- First of all, you do not always have to buy a new gift wrapper. You can use an old one that you have stored or you can recycle paper that looks good enough for a wrapper. When you do decide to reuse an old wrapper, just make sure to iron it first. Also, if it has a certain pattern, try to follow this pattern when you are cutting. Lastly, if you’re gift is of an odd shape, try placing it inside a box first before wrapping it.
- Enough is good, too much isn’t. Just make sure you have enough paper to fit and wrap around the lengthways and widthways. Hold them together using tape. The secret is that when there is too much paper, the present would look lumpy.
- Fold the two openings that are opposite each other. Lay them flat on a surface and make sure there are no lumps.
- The last thing to do is to decorate. You can add a belly wrap at the center of the newly-wrapped gift or you can accompany it with a decorative ribbon that complements the design and the pattern of the wrap. Don’t forget to include a card.
