Bangkok Hosted Event For Hotel Investors And Owners

Bangkok will never be complete without the wide array of hotels available. This is why tourists are willing to come and visit the city because there are accommodations everywhere from a hotel near All Seasons Building to a quite escape just at the edge of the metropolitan city. These hotels are one of the pillars of the tourism industry in the country. This comes as no surprise as to why the SEAHIS or Southeast Asia Hotel Investors’ Summit was conducted in Bangkok. The event lasted for two days and started on the afternoon of May 14th.

The event was hosted by the Westin Grande Sukhumvit which is one of the hotels in Bangkok. In attendance are not just hotel investors but hotel owners as well. They came together in order to talk about the problems that are currently being faced by the hotel industry in Southeast Asia.

All in all, 220 registered delegates came to the event and they came from sixty of the top hotels in the region. The SEAHIS 2018 was a success because of the participants from 15 various countries located across Asia. HOFTEL is the organizer of the event which is also the leading association among hotel property investors.

Simon Allison, the chairman and CEO of HOFTEL, said that the event happened at the most perfect time because there is a stir of excitement in the industry of the region. This is because of the fact that there is continues new supply of hotels which answers the continuing demand at the same time.

He added that the Middle East is currently facing some issues because despite the rise in demand, there is also too much supply therefore this scenario presents a challenge for them. In the case of the United States and Europe, the industry is stable because there is enough demand to meet the limited new hotels that were developed.

The same cannot be said in Southeast Asia because there is a considerable amount of new hotels despite the presence of hotel near All Seasons Building as well as services apartments which is met by an increase in demand.
