One of the more popular ways of marketing products and services today is through reviews. Consumers have become significantly reliant on online reviews before making a purchasing decision. Meanwhile, there are also King Kong digital marketing reviews that job seekers access from popular review sites to guide them in making an employment decision.
Facebook has promised that it will take more action to remove fake reviews and fake seller reviews from the social media platform after the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) issued a warning on the impact of allowing fake online reviews in the marketplace to thrive. Aside from Facebook, eBay was also warned.
According to a report from TechCrunch, CMA has found troubling proof that there is a thriving marketplace for fake and misleading online reviews. CMA is concerned about the more than 100 eBay listing for fake reviews that are offered for sale. CMA also discovered after the sweeps undertaken between November 2018 and June 2019 that there are also 26 Facebook groups where people offer fake reviews for sale. Businesses can recruit people through the two platforms to write fake and misleading reviews on popular review sites.
CMA has estimated that more than three quarters of UK shoppers are easily influenced by reviews when they shop online. The number highlights the potential scope of the problem regarding fake reviews. Since this activity is illegal under UK consumer protection laws, more significant regulatory action and legal recourse can be expected.
Meanwhile, Facebook said that fraudulent activity that includes offering and trading fake reviews is not allowed on Facebook including Instagram. Facebook claims that it has invested heavily to prevent fraudulent activities across their services. Facebook vows to work with CMA to address the problem. More than 180 groups have been removed and 24 groups have been identified for violating the rules.
On the other hand, the goal of King Kong digital marketing reviews is to attract tech talents to join their team. Reviews can also enhance the credibility and professionalism of the digital agency particularly since the reviews are left by its very own employees. When the digital agency responds to the reviews, it shows their appreciation to users.
